Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) normally helps you eat /chew, talk, and sing.
When TMJ is affected, people will get jaw pain, clicking or popping of the jaw, headaches, neck pain, and stiff jaw muscles.
TMJ disorder can be caused by motor vehicle accidents, work place injuries, grinding or clenching of teeth
Tinnitus or ringing of ear can be associated with TMJ dysfunction. (Vierola et al 2012).
Our Physiotherapists have completed special training in Alberta to assess and treat patients with TMJ dysfunction. Our PTs will execute a unique, complete, comprehensive assessment in a an effective, safely manner without aggravating your problems and will be quickly able to find out the issues you have. Our PTs will explain about your condition as well as treatment options available to you after the assessment.
